In the world of technology, voice recognition software is on the cutting edge. The computer is "trained" to recognize voice as an input device. It remembers the way we say each word. Our Master and our Shepherd gives us a divine voice recognition training to listen to Him attentively through the word of God. If we listen to Him, we are not only protected from harm, but we are given access to verdant pastures and an abundant life - life everlasting.

So, as we go about our daily lives, let us remember the importance of listening to our Divine Shepherd. Be open to his message and be comforted by a voice that is familiar, genuine, honest, and gives us life! Now we have with us a living shepherd, Pope Francis, to imitate the Good Shepherd. He called on the world's priests to bring the healing power of God's grace to everyone in need, to stay close to the marginalized and to be "shepherds living with the smell of the sheep." It is a call for us to imbibe the spirit of responding to God's voice in our lives. Let us pray earnestly with the psalmist, "My soul thirsts for God, for the living God."

O Good Shepherd! Help us listen to Your voice constantly amidst our difficulties and worries.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.

PRAYING WITH THE CHURCH
