Writing to the Thessalonians, St Paul reflects on the coming of Christ in judgement at the end of the world and teaches them a true Christian attitude to death, an attitude firmly grounded in hope. That hope comes from the reality of Jesus' resurrection.

Jesus says "Not everyone who says to me 'Lord, Lord' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father in heaven" (Mt 7.21). Jesus' acts and proclamations throughout his ministry testify the arrival of the kingdom of God. To be Christian, we have to live by Jesus' teachings and commands. We are to remain faithfully united with him in all of life's circumstances; we are to find our hope in his resurrection
we are to manifest his love when we are serving others. We are to live in Christ to preserve the holiness of being children of God, and to glorify our only teacher - Jesus Christ.

For the past two thousand years, the Church has continued his ministry of bringing hope to those who live on the margins, oppressed and victimized by society.

Lord, grant me Your eternal salvation so that I can together with all the heavenly Saints prepare for the second coming of the Lord.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.
