"I, the Lord, your God teach you what is for your good and lead you on the way you should go."

Though spoken by Isaiah several thousand years ago, this affirmation, and the promise implicit in it, remains eternally true. Through the mystery of the Eucharist, through the words of Scripture, even through the broken body of Jesus which is our very frail and wounded church, God continues to teach us not only what is good" but more specifically what is "good for us". We do not have to search around in the dark for the way we should go. That way was created for us, when Jesus came to us as "the Way, the Truth and the Life". In all that He said and did and in all his attitudes, Jesus taught us clearly and definitively, lovingly and gracefully the way we should go.

When we find our hearts so unteachably seeking what is not good or not good for us, teach us again, O Lord, that truth which alone can set us free from every form of darkness.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.

PRAYING WITH THE CHURCH
INTENTION
That people, who are involved in the service and transmission of faith, may find, in their dialogue with culture, a language suited to the conditions of the present time.
