When we try to explain something to someone but find that that person does not quite understand, we repeat what we want to say and even perhaps try to find a simple and striking way to get our message across. That is what a good teacher would do. Saint Ignatius tells us that God dealt with him like a schoolmaster. Indeed, through the Scriptures, God teaches us in many ways. In speaking of the will of God, "what is good", Micah speaks to us as a prophet representing God and teaches us what the Lord requires of us: "only this: act justly, love tenderly and walk humbly with your God." That is an extremely good summary of what our moral and spiritual life ought to be. That will certainly help us to "go the right way" as the Psalmist proclaims. For us, Jesus is the "way, the truth and the life" and so in union with him we will learn the wisdom we need to act justly, love tenderly and walk humbly with our God."

Father in Heaven, grant us the grace always and everywhere and in all things to act justly, to love tenderly and to walk humbly with You, our God.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.

PRAYING WITH THE CHURCH
INTENTION
That priests, who experience fatigue and loneliness in their pastoral work, may find help and comfort in their intimacy with the Lord and in their friendship with their brother priests.
