Although Jesus has risen from the dead, the faith of the disciples is still far from perfect; it is mixed with doubt. Still, Jesus invites them to take part in his mission. These imperfect people are to invite all people to come to God and be baptized as God's children.

In approximately 1410, the Russian artist, Andrei Rublev, created an icon known simply as Trinity. It depicts three robed figures sitting around a table. The icon has many symbols, for example, each person has the same face. Rublev also painted the icon in such a way, that when a person stands in front of the icon to gaze upon it, he or she becomes the fourth person around the table.

We have become children of God through Christ. Through him, we have become heirs to eternal life. We are invited to sit with the Trinity at table forever. Now, however, we are invited to continue a mission, their mission here on earth. By what we say and what we do, we are to witness to the love they have shown us.

Loving others is not easy; we risk being rejected. On this mission, however, we are not alone. In hardship and in glory, Christ nourishes us. Christ is with us and will always be with us.

Lord, give me courage and grace to share Your love with others.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.

PRAYING WITH THE CHURCH
