The blessing of Aaron is one of the most beautiful in the entire bible. What greater blessing and happiness could we possibly have than for God's face to shine upon us? Our sacred imagination can help us to see and feel what this blessing would be like. Imagine that God's face is shining upon you and that God is being gracious to you throughout the day - especially when you are having a difficult time. Quietly bless others in a similar way throughout the day. To help us in this, Paul assures us that we are no longer slaves but free. The Spirit of God dwells in us, allowing us to recognize God as our Father - not just in our heads, but in our heart too. If we are free, then we should stop acting like slaves - fearful and submissive. We are children of God.

These many blessings reached their peak in the birth of the savior Jesus. It was joyful news indeed, and the shepherds - regarded as lowly in their society - were honored with the proclamation from the angels. They were the first! Jesus is revealed to hearts that are humble and open. When Jesus was presented in the temple, he was given his name, which means 'God saves.' That says everything! As followers of Jesus, we should think and act as if we are truly blessed and saved. That is the best testimony we can ever give to the world.

Lord, may I be a blessing to others.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.

PRAYING WITH THE CHURCH
INTENTION
That young people, especially in Latin America, follow the example of Mary and respond to the call of the Lord to communicate the joy of the Gospel to the world.
