The two miracle stories saw Jesus' 'healing power' reaching out to both women. Such miracles reflect the main ministry of Jesus in bringing health, wholeness, salvation and life. For these to be affected, there should be the presence of 'faith'.

The deep faith and trust the woman with the haemorrhage had brought about her healing. In fact, this is a very personal encounter.

Similarly, the faith of Jairus saw Jesus raising his daughter to life. This is symbolic of Jesus' own resurrection after his death. Such personal encounter encourages us to deepen our relationship with Jesus so that the intimacy between Jesus and us will result in the embodiment of Jesus in human experiences.

The first reading reiterates the essence of the promotion of life. It is here that we are reminded in Paul's letter to the Corinthians how as disciples of Jesus, we are to imitate the life of Jesus particularly in our own relationship with others, and be thankful for all we have experienced and received.

As disciples of Jesus, we ought to imitate Jesus' life, particularly in our relationship with others and be thankful for the blessings we receive.

"Lord, help us see how miracles do happen in our daily life; if only we are grateful to what we have experienced and blessed with."

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.

PRAYING WITH THE CHURCH
INTENTION
Let us pray for young people who are preparing for marriage with the support of a Christian community: may they grow in love, with generosity, faithfulness and patience.
