The authority that comes from worldly wisdom accumulates immense knowledge yet lacks insight into one's own ignorance is problematic. The problem of unrecognised ignorance is the need to seek healing both personally and communally. The recognition that "I do not know" is a crucial signpost showing that one is travelling in the right direction towards the truth.

As authority inspired by heavenly wisdom (Sir. 51:19) is not based on facts that form a cognitive clutter based on God's created Wisdom and possesses a heart that repents and an intellect that seeks truth. Jesus' authority emanates from his interiority as a result of his relationship with the Father and not from accumulated knowledge. His authority is different from the confidence that world leaders exhibit because of their elite education. Being educated in God's Wisdom means being able to differentiate between what you know and what you do not know. This insight into one's own ignorance is a grace that opportunistic men with merely human wisdom do not possess.

Father, let us seek the wisdom that comes from You alone. May our confidence be in You, Lord, and not in our knowledge.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.

PRAYING WITH THE CHURCH
