The prophets of the Old Testament times spoke in a rather obscure way that all nations of the world would join forces to destroy the holy city of Jerusalem. Still, God would intervene in a triumphant way to establish his own kingdom at the moment of greatest despair.

For Jesus in Luke's Gospel, the tragedy that ends with the destruction of Jerusalem is near, but that would not be the end of the world. Instead, it is the time of the second coming of the Son of Man with power and great glory. His second coming is to liberate all creation. Everything passes, but his word will not pass away.

Lord, help me see the signs of your working today in my life and the world around me. Thank You for speaking to me and loving me. May God be blessed.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.

PRAYING WITH THE CHURCH
INTENTION
