In the passage from Acts we see how the early Church shared the message of Jesus. Apollos had been baptized with the baptism of repentance, but he hadn't received the full message of the Gospel. Paul's co-workers, Aquila and Priscilla, shared the "Way" more fully with him. Apollos was then ready to move on to another community to continue his ministry. We are called to help others to understand the message of Jesus more fully as well so they can share the message with others.

Jesus was preparing the disciples for the time when He would no longer be with them physically. He assured them that they would have access to the Father and could ask the Father to provide their needs because the Father loved them. Jesus said that they could ask "in My name" and the Father would provide. That does not mean that we are to assume that God will provide all of our wants. It means that we are to ask with the mind and heart of Jesus, desiring to do the Will of God, and the Father will provide what is needed.

Lord, help me to have the mind and heart of Jesus.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.

PRAYING WITH THE CHURCH
INTENTION
We pray that Church movements and groups may rediscover their mission of evangelisation each day, placing their own charisms at the service of those who are in need in the world.
