【  THE UGLITUDES   】
Rev. James Krings 《網上搜集》

Miserable are those whose security is in their bank accounts, real estate holdings, and stock portfolios. They will never experience peace, simplicity and freedom of life under the loving providence of God.
Blessed are the poor in spirit for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Miserable are those who have what it takes to stuff their grieves and stifle their tears, and drown their sorrows in activity and business. They'll never know the deep peace of comfort and consolation which God sends through good people and nature.
Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.

Miserable are those who are strong and powerful enough to beat others in anything. They'll never have anything lasting. Everything and everyone will be false to them. And destruction will always follow them, in the form of another strong and powerful.
Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.

Miserable are those who think they are right and cannot be wrong, and worse if they have the authority to assert themselves. Their lives will be more and more empty because they will not even recognise their own holes that needs to be filled with the healing of truth and justice.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
for they will be filled.

Miserable are the unforgiving because "they are in the right". When the day comes - and it surely will - when they need understanding or mercy, they will be too stubborn or embarrassed to even accept it.
Blessed are the merciful, for they will receive mercy.

Miserable are those who give in to their wants and fancies, and can only accept things in life their way. They will be easily distracted and scattered in they way the see things. They will be pulled in many different directions, and will never see truths as they are and joyously are.
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.

Miserable are those who can see how other people are silly, stupid and difficult to be with. More so when they can easily "prove it" and justify for counter-action. They'll never experience the amazing variety of joy and blessing in knowing their sisters and brothers of other cultures, races, faiths, etc. who are also God's children.
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.

Miserable are those who are so pulled by need for acceptance and security that they never take a stand on the truth. They'll change their stand according to the whims of authorities. They'll never know the secure freedom of living with humble integrity in the ways of God.
Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
