Say the daily
Novena to the Sacred Heart

Today is a day for remembering: remembering what God has done for us through Jesus His Son. Today is a day for saying thanks: thanks to God and Jesus for all that we have received from Him and through Him. Today is a day about food and drink, about eating and drinking. It is about how the Risen Jesus gives of His very self for us to eat together as we remember and give thanks. But it is also a day for us to be reminded of our responsibility to make sure that no one around us is hungry materially, emotionally or spiritually. "Send the people away," suggested the disciples. "Give them something to eat yourselves was Jesus' response.

They shared the little they had and the Lord provided the rest. Give freely of what we have freely received. It is for us every day to share the Christ we receive with others who do not have access to His table.

Lord, may our participation in the Eucharist help us to experience Your saving power and the peace of Your kingdom where You live and reign for ever and ever.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.

PRAYING WITH THE CHURCH
INTENTION
That all Christians may be constantly more aware of their personal and community responsibility to bear witness to God's love for humanity and for every man and woman.
