Index of This Month

We begin the month of November with a great celebration, the Feast of All Saints, and today we remember all who have gone before us, especially all those who have walked the way of faith that we ourselves are still walking. Both celebrations invite us to look beyond this world to a life after death, a life in the resurrection, where every tear will be wiped away and we shall see God face to face.

Towards the end of this month, we already celebrate the First Sunday of Advent, a reminder that, before we walk the pathways of eternal life, the fullness of life, in the person of Jesus, He walked this world for our salvation. There is an enormous chasm between heaven and earth, as Jesus reminds us in one of His parables. Yet, in Jesus, we dare to believe that that chasm has been bridged in Jesus Himself. While we still walk through a world veiled by a web of death, we walk in hope, for by the enlightenment of Jesus we can take to heart and make our own the words of the Book of Wisdom: "Those who trust in him shall understand truth, and the faithful shall abide with him in love".

Father, we thank You and praise You for the gift of truth and the promise of eternal love and life.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.

PRAYING WITH THE CHURCH
INTENTION
That Christian men and women, aware of the vocation which is theirs in the Church, may answer generously to God's call to seek holiness in the midst of their lives.
