"And Herod was anxious to see Him."
There will be anxious moments in our lives. The world is insecure and unpredictable and there are circumstances over which we do not have immediate control. We cannot avoid these things any more than Christ could when He was in Jerusalem.

Herod was fearful ¡K
God will not always shield us from anxieties or wounds but He will give us the strength and courage to face them. Do we have trust in God's strength and courage in facing our problems and difficulties in life?

"Herod heard about all that was going on ..."
The ministry of the apostles was mightily effective and "things" were happening. Like the apostles, some of us are called to be leaders, to be ministers and servants of God. Jesus has set the example and His Spirit daily grants us the grace to live and act as such. We have roles to play and parishes to serve in the grand business of proclaiming and advancing God's Kingdom in this world.

Like Herod do people today hear about what is going on ¡K?

Lord, help me to minister in love to my sisters and brothers and courageously witness to them Your eternal love.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.

PRAYING WITH THE CHURCH
