Jesus made it clear that there is no limit to forgiveness. We do not expect God to forgive us once or twice or any limited number of times but every time. We must remember how easily our Father in heaven forgives us each day. Should we not be able to make this our choice as well? The more that we keep in mind how quick God is to forgive us, and the more that we forgive, the more forgiveness can come more easily for us. Forgiveness is not a sign of weakness; it is a sign of strength. Forgiveness allows me to free myself from what others think of me, from the opinions of the world, from my own faults and failures, from resentment and revenge. I have nothing to prove to anyone because forgiveness requires courage. To forgive means to imitate the Lord in his dealings with humanity, a rebellious humanity, that seeks, not God, but rather its own pleasures even at the expense of others. One who is struggling with forgiveness, should follow the steps which Jesus taught his disciples.

Lord Jesus, you have been kind and forgiving towards me. May I be merciful as you are merciful. Free me from all bitterness and resentment that I may truly forgive from the heart anyone who may have injured me.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.
