This is a wonderful story which sums up all that Jesus has been teaching his disciples. It is not just a miracle story; it is full of teaching. Jesus is leaving Jericho, His last stop on the way to Jerusalem and His passion, death and resurrection. A blind man sitting beside the road hearing Him pass by calls out for help. He calls out more than once. Then Jesus stops and asks someone to tell him to come forward. (Jesus always calls us through other people in our life - am I listening to Him through them?) He asks the man what he wants. He only asks for one thing - that he may see. And because of his total trust and confidence in Jesus, he is made whole again. And, after he can see, what does he do. He becomes a follower of Jesus on the road to suffering, death and glory. The man who was sitting beside the road begging is now a man standing and walking on the road (Jesus is the Way) and enriched beyond his wildest dreams. Can I follow his example?

Lord, may I be able to see the Way of life that You want me to follow.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.

PRAYING WITH THE CHURCH
INTENTION
That young people may follow Christ, the way, the truth, the life with generous enthusiasm and be ready to bear witness to him in all the situations in which they live.
