We continue to see in the Acts how Paul and his companion Timothy go from town to town so that "the churches grow strong in the faith, as well as growing daily in numbers". And, as they continue to concentrate on the areas where they are, they receive a message to break out into completely new territory, to cross over into Macedonia and on to Greece. They will be moving into areas where their experiences will later produce some of Paul's most eloquent letters - Thessalonica, Philippi and Corinth. It seems like an effortless path all the way but, from the Gospel we know there is another side. Many of those among whom they work will hate them, harass them, beat them up and throw them in prison. They will have exactly the same experiences as Jesus, the Son and the Word of God, experienced. "If they persecuted me, they will persecute you too." There is great joy in sharing the Gospel with others but we should not be surprised at opposition too. In loving others, there is no guarantee we will be loved back.

As servants we are not greater than the Master.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.

PRAYING WITH THE CHURCH
INTENTION
That allowing himself to be enlightened and guided by the Holy Spirit, every Christian may answer enthusiastically and faithfully to the universal call to sanctity.
