Throughout sacred Scripture, I see how God calls many humble individuals who openly declare their inadequacies, like Isaiah. Their willingness to approach God in humility is a profound lesson for me; I must acknowledge my unworthiness for God to qualify me for His mission. The power of God is evident; He empowers the weak and purifies the sinful when we humbly express our need for His mercy. I find great hope in Isaiah's immediate forgiveness upon his confession, reminding me that God delights in my return to Him. Moreover, it becomes clear to me: I do not qualify myself; God qualifies me. Overwhelmed by His mercy, I am compelled to respond with the same zeal as Isaiah, "Here I am, send me."

In today's Gospel, the Lord reassures His disciples as He sends them out on mission. He prepares them for the hostility they may encounter, reminding them that if He, the master, is accused of being in league with Satan, they, too, will face similar judgments. Fear is a common barrier when it comes to publicly witnessing my faith in the Lord. Yet, it is striking how often Jesus encourages His disciples not to be afraid.

Perhaps the purifying fire initiated by the seraphim continues as I follow the Lord. I strive to remain steadfast in my faith amidst challenges, embracing my role with humility and courage.

Each day, I strive to say, "Lord, here I am, send me."

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day jul be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.
