Hypocrisy is the typical sin of the Pharisee. The disciple of Jesus should live and work without pretence, without duplicity, without lies. His behavior should be always frank, like the one working under the daylight or working in the open marketplace. Only his or her actions or words should be a public testimony.

The true disciple is the friend of Jesus, the one who receives His confidences. With His friend, Jesus has no secrets. Like a true friend he or she will share with Him everything, even His persecution and death. Therefore, the disciple should be faithful to Jesus, without fear. Only towards the Father, who designs our final or definitive destinies, would a loving fear be justified.

But looking at us always with loving and caring eyes is the Father. Our personal, intimate history and the history of every community are always in His hands, even when our ways may result in consequence far from our human understanding.

If even the hairs of my head are all counted, Why should I be afraid? O God, my Father and Lord, I love You and trust in You whatever I am and have.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.

PRAYING WITH THE CHURCH
INTENTION
That the Christians who are in minority situations may have the strength and courage to live faith and persevere in bearing witness to it.
